I love that quote from Winnie the Pooh:

"As soon as I saw you, I knew an adventure was going to happen." (A. A. Milne)

But what is called adventure depends entirely on the personality of the individual. For one person it is incredibly adventurous to go hunting for honey in helium-filled balloons, while another person's adrenaline level rises when climbing steep cliffs, and another guy's hair stands on end when diving with sharks.

But all this does never satisfy the hunger of the adventurous man; he wants more and more, so that in the end his very first experiences that left him breathless in the beginning, fade away as completely inconspicuous.

But what are the true adventures in life that remain?

I believe that it is the events which we leave completely in the hands of God and entrust to Him.

An example for me is exactly this step of leaving a safe job and a known area and plunging into the unknown. Some find it crazy, others very disturbing, and a few see it as we do: like a wonderful adventure that we begin at the hand of our Father in Heaven, knowing that He will take much better care of us and our whole little family than we could ever do on our own because He loves us so much.

And yes, sometimes it makes me feel uneasy and I imagine what difficulties the future might hold for us, but whenever these dark thoughts try drag me down, I quickly wipe them away, knowing for sure: Jesus is greater than all the obstacles that will surely come in our way.

And exactly for this reason we are so looking forward to the next years! It will be exciting, exhausting, challenging, interesting, and above all anything but boring!
